The essentials
Privacy Policy
How we handle your information, from your first upload to your finished presentation.
Effective Date: October 10, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how ImageToPPT (“ImageToPPT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit imagetoppt.org, create an account, purchase a plan, upload content, or use our image- and PDF-to- PowerPoint conversion services (collectively, the “Service”).
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create or use an account, we may receive your name, email address, account identifier, profile details, and authentication data from our authentication provider.
Content and conversion data. We process the images, screenshots, PDFs, extracted pages, text, layouts, and other material you upload, together with generated previews, reconstructed slide elements, PowerPoint files, task status, and related conversion metadata.
Purchase information. If you make a purchase, we receive transaction identifiers, plan and billing details, payment status, and limited billing information from our payment providers. We do not store complete payment-card numbers.
Device and usage information. We may collect IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, pages viewed, feature usage, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie or device identifiers, and diagnostic, security, and error logs.
Communications. We collect the information you include when you contact us for support, request a refund, or otherwise communicate with us.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, and troubleshoot the Service;
- analyze uploaded content and generate editable slide output;
- authenticate users and maintain accounts, projects, and downloads;
- process purchases, subscriptions, credits, cancellations, and refunds;
- answer support requests and send service-related communications;
- measure performance and improve features and conversion quality;
- detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms; and
- comply with law and protect our users, the public, and the Service.
4. How Uploaded Content Is Processed
To perform a conversion, uploaded content may be sent to service providers that supply hosting, storage, document rendering, OCR, image processing, and AI-assisted analysis. These systems may detect text and visual structure, separate or reconstruct slide elements, and generate previews and downloadable files. We do not sell your uploaded content. We do not use private uploaded content to train our own general-purpose AI models. Providers process content under their applicable contracts and data-handling terms.
5. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- vendors that provide authentication, cloud hosting, storage, AI and OCR processing, analytics, security, email, customer support, and payment services;
- professional advisers and authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our agreements, or protect rights and safety;
- a buyer, investor, successor, or other participant in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business; and
- other parties when you direct us to share information or give consent.
We do not sell your personal information or uploaded content for money.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand use of the Service, measure performance, and prevent fraud or abuse. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking required cookies may prevent account, checkout, or conversion features from working.
7. Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information and files only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Project-history periods may vary by plan and are shown on our Pricing page. We may keep account, transaction, security, and support records for longer when needed to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution obligations. When information is deleted, residual copies may remain for a limited period in backups and logs. You may delete eligible projects in the Service where that option is available or contact us to request deletion.
8. International Data Processing
ImageToPPT and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data- protection laws. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for cross-border transfers.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls and encrypted network connections where appropriate. No online service or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You may update certain account information through the Service, cancel a subscription in account settings, and control cookies through your browser. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. To submit a request, contact us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised Policy on this page and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
